Moonbeam

Moonbeam

You reach for me

timid at first

Like the caress of the moon’s light

greeting your skin as you step out into the dark

As if unsure of yourself

As if a slight hesitation appeared in your action

and was quickly dismissed

urgency strikes you

and your fingertips grace the back of my neck

pulling me close to you

asking to taste my lips

yearning to feel the strength of my desire for you

hoping I will mirror your feelings

praying I will envelop you in the warmth of the moment

and take you away from this place

to deposit you upon the edge of the shore

the waves gently lapping

slowly

as the tide comes in

to hungrily feast on the trembling in your heart

and I do not disappoint
