I feel no sorrow for you.
I have no empathy for you.

Yet, I remain indifferent

I burst in turbulent seas
to ride lightning skies
until
exhausted
on a windswept shore
I find silence

Decisions decisions
what can be done
cold and lonely
you reach for the sun
filled with pride
but torn inside
you scream and cover your eyes

I’ll step through you
and into love
I’ll pierce the dark
and clouds above
I’ll snatch the moons
glittered rays
a keepsake
for another day

Unable to penetrate
your darkness
I can merely stare
as danger approaches
with silent steps
and a venomous sting

Deeper I recede
into the silence
away from distraction
into my being
away from negativity
